I was on the Booked On Rock podcast with Eric Senich, my third appearance. Eric is great because he actually reads the book before he interviews you, and also because he forgave me for double-booking and having to reschedule. This was a great interview, per Eric's usual high standard.
Here I am discussing IRON MAIDEN @ 50 with the good folks at Dig Me Out 80s Metal Podcast. This was a panel show and while those can be kind of chaotic and messy, these guys ran a very tight ship and the episode was a lot of fun. One of the hosts only discovered the band three years ago!
My next "IRON MAIDEN @ 50" podcast interview is up. This time, I'm back with Eric Stangeland's Mix Tapes Podcast, my third appearance. It was a blast as always – these interviews with Eric are less like formal interviews and more like just gabbing about Iron Maiden like the two humble fans that we are.
IRON MAIDEN @ 50: UNBOXED (sort of)! My audiovisual department helped me make an unboxing video for my newest book, IRON MAIDEN @ 50. Technically, it's not exactly an unboxing, since the book is already out of the box when the video starts. But if you need to see more than just the cover before shelling out your hard-earned bucks, this feline-assisted paging-through will give you a good idea of what's in it. Press the "Watch" button and revel in the splendor.
My latest "IRON MAIDEN @ 50" podcast interview is up. This time, I'm back with Métal Maniaques, a music and horror podcast who has had me on twice now because of my last two books. It was less like promotion and more like visiting with an old friend. That may not be the professional way of doing it, but to quote Larry David, my whole career is based on being unprofessional. Press the button to check out the interview, which starts at around the 16:00 mark.
Please enjoy my latest podcast interview with the mighty Staci Layne Wilson of Rock & Roll Nightmares. We discuss my forthcoming book, IRON MAIDEN @ 50, and also my 2023 book, OZZY @ 75, which I'm very happy came out while the late Prince of Darkness was still alive.
Podcast season has begun for my new book, IRON MAIDEN @ 50! Mike Wiles of the Retro Rock Roundup podcast has the honor of hosting my flagship podcast interview for this book, and the honor is mutual because I have the privilege of kicking off their Heavy Metal Week. We also discussed the very sad passing of Ozzy Osbourne, which I will never recover from.
I have added a new page to the NotoriousBUK website – UNBOXING. While all my writing is exemplary, and more people should endeavor to fashion a phrase in the same inimitable way that I do, I feel like the design, layout, and photo selection of my Quarto books are a big reason why people like them, and podcast interviews and written reviews don't do that side of it much justice. So for those of you who are curious about my work but would like a guided tour first before parting with your hard-earned dollars, please enjoy the videos on the newly-minted UNBOXING page.
Even though my next book, "Iron Maiden at 50," does not get released until next month, I'm already getting some love for the book after it. "Rush & 2112" comes out in March 2026, and Rush Brasil (a Brazilian Rush fan site) threw a few questions my way about it. Enjoy!
After the passing of the mighty Ozzy Osbourne, I was interviewed by the NY Post to talk about his life and his final concert. I'm still processing it a week later, but I feel like this was not too terrible for an on-the-spot, grief-stricken interview.
Greetings. I was interviewed by the Afternoons with Leith Forrest podcast from Australia to discuss the very sad passing of the great Ozzy Osbourne. This was conducted just a couple of hours after the news came through, and it was kind of surreal. Anyway, press the button and listen to my trenchant insights.
My chins and I are back! I did a fantastic, sprawling interview about RUSH @ 50 with John Beaudin of the Rock History Music podcast, and he's going to split it up into a few episodes, so here's the first one. Enjoy!
